knowledge of point of sale application
ability to operate various mechanical devices such as POS systems, credit card machines and mixers
ability to evaluate current practices, recognize potential conflicts and initiate improvements
effective written and spoken English communication
flexibility to occasionally work overtime and assist with the workload of others

Job Duties

Greet and interact with guests in a friendly professional manner when applicable
assist bartenders with all aspects of guest service
smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
wash and sterilize glassware and other serving equipment at bars
prepare garnishes for drinks
maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to bar manager
maintain and stock adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, etc.
stock refrigeration units with wines, beer, replace beer kegs, etc.
replenish ice at bar
empty bar trash cans
attend all scheduled employee meetings
additional tasks as assigned
