Job Requirements

At least twenty-one (21) years of age
minimum of two (2) plus years working experience as a bartender
ability to acquire a valid Texas Food Handler Card and TABC within 30 days of hiring
completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training is a plus but not required
one year of related experience preferred, but not required
willingness to inspire people to embrace different cultures of the world
be able to reach, bend, and frequently lift 30 pounds
must have the stamina to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
must be able to stand for periods of up to eight (8) hours
must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at a time, required to use assistance when available i.e., hand trucks, ramps, or another team member

Job Qualifications

Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving guests
positive attitude and excellent communication skills
knowledge of menu items and food preparation techniques is a plus but not required
ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean
ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative guests
ability to learn cash register software used by bars or restaurants
promotion of the culture, values, and mission of Restaurant K

Job Duties

Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guests
interact with guests, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks
assess guests' needs and preferences and make recommendations
mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
plan and present bar menu
kindly request guests to present a valid form of identification and verify that it meets the legal drinking age
restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
comply with all food and beverage regulations
adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and laws including health and safety standards
promote the culture, values, and mission of Restaurant K
