Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • must be at least 21 years of age or older to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol
  • ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent
  • ability to frequently stand, walk, talk, listen, and use hands
  • ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • reliable attendance
  • knowledge of current trends in the industry and marketplace
  • professional and courteous demeanor
  • strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • two years minimum bartending experience
  • knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties
  • alcohol awareness training
  • ability to assist with creation of seasonal cocktails and social media content
  • ensures compliance with state liquor laws
  • experience with point-of-sale systems such as POSITOUCH and MICROS preferred
  • professional and courteous demeanor
  • strong commitment to company values
  • exceptional personal hygiene
  • fluent in English speaking, writing, and understanding
  • meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Job Duties

  • Stocks bar
  • mixes and serves alcoholic beverages
  • assists in cost control, inventory, and maintaining inventory records
  • assists department leaders with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu
  • assists department leaders with social media schedule and creation of content
  • maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products
  • ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures
  • communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager
  • performs opening and closing duties including inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking
  • accountable for checks and cash transactions using point-of-sale system
  • reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events
  • serves catered parties from service or portable bars
  • occasionally serves meals to guests
  • incorporates safe work practices in job performance
  • maintains regular and reliable attendance
  • performs other duties as required
