Job Requirements
- minimum 21 years of age
- us work authorization required
- must meet grooming standards
- able to work as part of a team
- able to work with little or no supervision
- minimum 6 months previous bartending experience in a similar setting required
- solid knowledge of wines and craft cocktails is required
- previous hotel or resort experience preferred
- alcohol and food safety certification is a plus, but not required
- able to prioritize, organize, and follow-up
- strong attention to detail and ability to make concise decisions
- able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- able to demonstrate high energy and strong enthusiasm for customer service
- able to work on your feet for extended periods
- able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- arrive at the scheduled start time in the appropriate uniform and ready for work
- greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness
- present bar menus, make specific recommendations, and answer questions regarding offerings
- receive and serve food and drink orders
- prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with Gather & Hem standard drink recipes
- record drink orders into the POS system accurately and immediately after receipt
- accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change as needed
- clear and reset tables in the bar area
- sweep and mop as needed
- maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas
- assist in the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
- complete opening and closing duties as assigned each shift
- communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors
- demonstrate teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed
- ensure that guests have a positive and memorable experience
- report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the manager
- watch for safety hazards and report them immediately to the supervisor or manager
- complete all required training within the timeframe allotted
- act in accordance with fire, health, and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures as required
- perform other duties as directed, developed, or assigned
- support environmental commitments by acquiring the knowledge, skills, and values to be a leader in the global goal of greening the hospitality industry
