Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bar or restaurant serving experience preferred
  • Strong product knowledge especially in cocktails and spirits
  • Ability to use POS systems efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must comply with all alcohol service laws
  • Must be proactive and team-oriented

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a bar or restaurant serving role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage, particularly cocktails and spirits
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of state and federal alcohol service laws

Job Duties

  • Sets up bar top per restaurant standard
  • Ensures all wells are set up and usable for each shift
  • Stocks all bar products to ensure next bar shift is set up for success
  • Prepares garnishes enough for day per recipe standards
  • Prepares bar mixes per recipe
  • Keeps back bar displays neat, organized and stocked
  • Pre-busses the bar-top by removing glassware dishes and items no longer being used to maintain well groomed bar top
  • Carries dirty dishes, glassware and silverware to dish washing area and properly off-loads and sorts items to be cleaned
  • Looks for opportunities to assist other service team members in a pro-active manner
  • Always makes an inquiry regarding their guests awareness of our VIP program
  • Introduces self by name to each guest that sits at bar
  • Offers a food menu to every guest prior to them having to ask
  • Utilizes outstanding product knowledge to confidently suggest specific food and beverage items to guests
  • When spirits based cocktails are ordered, always suggests a specific brand up-sell
  • Accurately take orders and delivers products to guests consistent with shopper standards and details of service
  • Inputs all food and beverage orders into POS using accurate seat number, item modifiers and guest special instructions
  • Ensures most current order check is always in front of bar guests
  • Complies with all state and federal liquor service laws and always asks to see proof of age for any guest ordering alcohol that appears to be younger than 40 years old
  • Adheres to responsible consumption of alcohol guidelines to prevent over serving guests
  • Immediately notifies management of any complaint or issue verbalized by a guest
  • Presents guest check for final payment consistent with timing standards and returns credit card change immediately
  • Always thanks guests for dining drinking with us
  • Takes and assembles take out and to-go orders as directed by management
  • Completes daily weekly cleaning checklist items
  • Accurately completes end of shift cash-out procedures
  • Checks out with Management at conclusion of shift to ensure all duties and sidework have been completed to standard
  • Performs additional tasks and projects as assigned
