Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in bartending or hospitality preferred
- knowledge of state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations
- capability to lift up to 30 pounds
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- willingness to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
- ability to follow safety and security procedures
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle money
- basic English language writing and communication skills
- sufficient manual dexterity for using knives, glassware, and beverage equipment
- knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
- ability to comprehend and apply product labeling and safety instructions
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document drink orders
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily
- requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce
- maintain stock and prepare fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes daily
- receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, and record transactions
- lock up and store beverages, food and equipment
- deposit cash drops and secure bank
- answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders
- input orders into register and create guest checks
- perform general cleaning tasks as assigned
- adhere to company policies and safety procedures
- report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, and property damage
- maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- assist other beverage personnel as needed
- perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
