Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in bartending or hospitality preferred
knowledge of state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations
capability to lift up to 30 pounds
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
willingness to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
ability to follow safety and security procedures
excellent customer service and communication skills
ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times

Job Qualifications

Hold a current Food Handler Card
basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle money
basic English language writing and communication skills
sufficient manual dexterity for using knives, glassware, and beverage equipment
knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
ability to comprehend and apply product labeling and safety instructions
ability to remember and promote menu items
ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers

Job Duties

Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
promote and document drink orders
mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily
requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce
maintain stock and prepare fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes daily
receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, and record transactions
lock up and store beverages, food and equipment
deposit cash drops and secure bank
answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders
input orders into register and create guest checks
perform general cleaning tasks as assigned
adhere to company policies and safety procedures
report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, and property damage
maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
assist other beverage personnel as needed
perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
