Job Requirements

  • Must represent Cooper's Hawk values
  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • minimum of 6 months bartending experience required
  • experience in a full-service, upscale casual restaurant or equivalent service environment preferred
  • must be comfortable educating guests on the Wine Club membership program and inviting them to join
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • thrives in a team-based environment
  • hospitality-focused individual with passion for guest service, wine, beer, and spirits
  • experience using POS system
  • ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers, and team members
  • ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to stand and walk up to 10 hours per shift
  • ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • must be able to read, write, and understand English
  • ability to perform essential functions to Cooper's Hawk standards with reasonable accommodation
  • ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests with hospitality
  • engage and answer questions about food, wine, and facilities in a friendly, helpful manner
  • maintain full knowledge of Cooper's Hawk food, drink and wine menus
  • actively educate guests on the Cooper's Hawk Wine Club
  • invite them to participate in the Club to expand membership
  • actively communicate with servers and service assistants to ensure a memorable guest experience
  • prepare all beverages according to Cooper's Hawk recipes, using proper measuring tools
  • serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with company standards and legal guidelines
  • consistently increase knowledge of food, wine, and other Cooper's Hawk products and services
  • maintain awareness and basic knowledge of retail area functions and retail products
  • maintain a safe, sanitary, organized, and stocked work area
  • wash and sterilize glassware and prepare garnishes for drinks
  • complete necessary side work during non-busy hours
  • handle cash and utilize the POS system according to company standards
  • follow departmental checklists and SOPs for opening, mid-shift, or closing preparations
  • remain behind the bar during shifts unless replaced by a manager
  • perform other duties as assigned
