Job Requirements

  • High school education or GED
  • Prior bar experience in a high-volume or upscale setting preferred
  • Must be computer proficient and familiar with office equipment
  • Ability to hold self and others to high ethical standards
  • Work well with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under stressful, high pressure situations
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enhance business relationships
  • Willingness to provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work with diverse groups or individuals
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of laws and policy regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated patrons
  • Must have or obtain eTIPS, ServSafe, and TAM certification
  • Ability to handle crises calmly and effectively

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or GED
  • One-year high volume bar experience preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local alcohol service laws
  • Ability to obtain eTIPS, ServSafe, and TAM certification or equivalent
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle crisis situations calmly
  • Willingness to provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistency in recipes and presentation
  • Ensure completion of all side work on their shift
  • Properly handle food and money
  • Maintain par levels and inventory control
  • Ensure every guest experience is positive
  • Prepare the bar area before, during, and after shifts
  • Use FIFO procedures and notify personnel of low stock
  • Ensure supplies and products are available for the shift
  • Act as cashier when necessary
  • Prevent service to minors and intoxicated patrons
  • Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area
  • Wear proper uniform and demonstrate a warm, welcoming attitude
  • Step in for other staff as needed
  • Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned
