Job Requirements

experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale
ability to follow cash handling procedures
ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve problems
physically able to lift 5 to 15 pounds frequently, push or pull objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, occasionally lift over 40 pounds
ability to communicate clearly and deal effectively with the public
complete a background investigation with favorable results
meet minimum age requirement for working with alcohol
obtain food handler's certificate or complete food handler training
successfully complete pre-employment physical
U.S. citizen, national, or owe allegiance to the U.S.
register for Selective Service if male born after December 31, 1959
direct deposit required
satisfactorily complete E-Verify check
meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements
probationary period may be required

Job Qualifications

experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale
knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to mix exotic drinks
ability to recognize and manage intoxicated or unruly patrons
ability to follow cash handling procedures
ability to communicate clearly
skill in dealing with public
physically able to lift and move moderate weights
valid food handler certification or ability to obtain
meet minimum legal age requirements for serving alcohol

Job Duties

operate a full service bar
mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to order following established recipes
deliver drinks to bar waiters or serve directly to patrons
receive payments or charge member accounts
wash glasses and bar equipment
prepare garnishes for drinks
help stock service or portable bars for events
ensure proper operation of bar, receipts, and inventory accountability
accept money, operate cash register, and make change
prepare documentation for cash funds accountability
recognize and manage intoxicated or unruly patrons
perform other duties as assigned
