Job Requirements

One to three years experience as a bartender
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Good judgment and decision-making abilities
Ability to free-pour and mix drinks to recipe specifications
Minimum age required to serve alcohol
High school degree or GED preferred
Health permit, food safety, and alcohol awareness certification prior to first day of employment
Ability to work standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry loads over 35 pounds
Ability to communicate clearly in English
Ability to hear normal speaking levels
Ability to see close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
Ability to maintain body equilibrium on various surfaces
Willingness to follow safety and sanitation practices
Adherence to company policies
Ability to work in noisy, narrow, and potentially hazardous environments

Job Qualifications

One to three years experience as a bartender or equivalent combination of education and experience
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with other departments and external contacts
Good judgment and decision-making abilities
Extensive knowledge of mixed cocktails and frozen drink mixing
Ability to free-pour to recipe specifications
Must be at least the minimum age required to serve alcohol
High school degree or GED preferred
Health permit and food safety and alcohol awareness certification required before employment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Ability to communicate clearly in English
Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

Job Duties

Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and staff
Verifies all guests purchasing alcohol are at least 21 years of age
Follows established recipes and procedures in beverage preparation
Possesses full knowledge of food and beverage products and uses suggestive selling techniques
Takes and delivers food and beverage orders in a timely manner
Operates point-of-sale system efficiently and handles cash accurately
Maintains cleanliness of bar area including glassware and utensils
Cleans spills and tracks wasted items
Checks quality of food and beverage items before serving
Assists with stocking and restocking bar supplies
Conducts inventory of liquor and bar supplies
Provides immediate, friendly, and personalized guest service
Handles guest questions and complaints appropriately
Completes all assigned opening, running, and closing duties
Maintains responsible alcohol service
Assists in training new staff members
Adheres to safety, sanitation, and company policies
Communicates product knowledge and company updates to guests
