Job Requirements
- One to three years experience as a bartender
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good judgment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to free-pour and mix drinks to recipe specifications
- Minimum age required to serve alcohol
- High school degree or GED preferred
- Health permit, food safety, and alcohol awareness certification prior to first day of employment
- Ability to work standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry loads over 35 pounds
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Ability to hear normal speaking levels
- Ability to see close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
- Ability to maintain body equilibrium on various surfaces
- Willingness to follow safety and sanitation practices
- Adherence to company policies
- Ability to work in noisy, narrow, and potentially hazardous environments
Job Qualifications
- One to three years experience as a bartender or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with other departments and external contacts
- Good judgment and decision-making abilities
- Extensive knowledge of mixed cocktails and frozen drink mixing
- Ability to free-pour to recipe specifications
- Must be at least the minimum age required to serve alcohol
- High school degree or GED preferred
- Health permit and food safety and alcohol awareness certification required before employment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Job Duties
- Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and staff
- Verifies all guests purchasing alcohol are at least 21 years of age
- Follows established recipes and procedures in beverage preparation
- Possesses full knowledge of food and beverage products and uses suggestive selling techniques
- Takes and delivers food and beverage orders in a timely manner
- Operates point-of-sale system efficiently and handles cash accurately
- Maintains cleanliness of bar area including glassware and utensils
- Cleans spills and tracks wasted items
- Checks quality of food and beverage items before serving
- Assists with stocking and restocking bar supplies
- Conducts inventory of liquor and bar supplies
- Provides immediate, friendly, and personalized guest service
- Handles guest questions and complaints appropriately
- Completes all assigned opening, running, and closing duties
- Maintains responsible alcohol service
- Assists in training new staff members
- Adheres to safety, sanitation, and company policies
- Communicates product knowledge and company updates to guests
