Job Requirements

  • One to three years experience as a bartender
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Minimum age required to serve alcohol
  • High school degree or GED preferred

  • Ability to work standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry loads over 35 pounds
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Ability to hear normal speaking levels
  • Ability to see close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
  • Ability to maintain body equilibrium on various surfaces
  • Willingness to follow safety and sanitation practices
  • Adherence to company policies
  • Ability to work in noisy, narrow, and potentially hazardous environments

Job Qualifications

  • One to three years experience as a bartender or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with other departments and external contacts
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of mixed cocktails and frozen drink mixing
  • Ability to free-pour to recipe specifications
  • Must be at least the minimum age required to serve alcohol
  • High school degree or GED preferred
  • Health permit and food safety and alcohol awareness certification required before employment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

Job Duties

  • Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and staff
  • Verifies all guests purchasing alcohol are at least 21 years of age
  • Follows established recipes and procedures in beverage preparation
  • Possesses full knowledge of food and beverage products and uses suggestive selling techniques
  • Takes and delivers food and beverage orders in a timely manner
  • Operates point-of-sale system efficiently and handles cash accurately
  • Maintains cleanliness of bar area including glassware and utensils
  • Cleans spills and tracks wasted items
  • Checks quality of food and beverage items before serving
  • Assists with stocking and restocking bar supplies
  • Conducts inventory of liquor and bar supplies
  • Provides immediate, friendly, and personalized guest service
  • Handles guest questions and complaints appropriately
  • Completes all assigned opening, running, and closing duties
  • Maintains responsible alcohol service
  • Assists in training new staff members
  • Adheres to safety, sanitation, and company policies
  • Communicates product knowledge and company updates to guests
