Job Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
Completion of basic food handling training and relevant certification as required by local or state law
Must complete Safe Alcohol Service training program
Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
Requires regular and consistent attendance
Energetic and friendly attitude
Excellent guest service skills
Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to follow directions
Must respond with urgency
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Able to handle frequent bending, kneeling, and walking

Job Qualifications

Completion of basic food handling training and possession of any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program
Prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
Excellent guest service skills
Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all ages, genders, and personalities
Ability to effectively converse in and comprehend English
Ability to work in a team environment and independently
Ability to take and follow direction
Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift

Job Duties

Greets guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
Possesses full knowledge of bar and menu items and makes recommendations
Accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
Verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
Ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
Consistently uses suggestive selling techniques
Collaborates with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
Delivers food and beverage orders within established time frames
Processes payment for completed guest orders
Maintains appropriate stock levels for the bar
Assists the General Manager on duty with placing orders for all liquor and bar related supplies
Consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
Properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
Adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
Monitors safety and security issues and reports issues to management
Performs other work-related duties as assigned
