Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of previous craft cocktail bartending experience
  • Customer-oriented with upbeat personality
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and Sundays
  • Ability to diffuse high-stress situations
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to carry and balance food and beverage trays
  • Continuous use of hands and arms
  • Ability to bend, reach, and twist continuously
  • Maintains strong personal image and uniform standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • More than 1 year of craft cocktail bartending experience
  • Customer-oriented and upbeat personality
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to diffuse high-stress and tense situations
  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and Sundays
  • Knowledge of BarSmarts, WSET, CMS or other wine/spirits certification is a plus
  • Strong personal image and uniform standards
  • Capable of speaking knowledgeably about food and beverage menus
  • Ability to provide exceptional guest service

Job Duties

  • Welcome and interact with guests and take food and drink orders
  • Check identification to ensure legal age for alcohol purchase
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel standards
  • Ensure bar area is fully stocked and equipped with necessary tools and products
  • Serve and check on guests, assist with running food
  • Speak knowledgeably about food and drink menus
  • Prepare service drinks for servers promptly
  • Assess guests' needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Utilize sales tactics to upsell food or drinks
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service
  • Offer guidance about hotel activities, dining options, and local information
  • Ring in and collect payments
  • Handle assigned house bank and follow cash handling procedures
  • Prepare inventory and communicate ordering needs
  • Communicate scheduling and shift changes to management
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and work surfaces
  • Monitor and manage potential alcohol abuse situations
  • Wash glassware and bar tools following health standards
  • Comply with NC Department of Food and Safety and ABC regulations
  • Collaborate with team to ensure smooth operation
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
