The Role of Bartender at SA Hospitality Group plays a crucial part in enhancing the guest experience and maintaining the fluid operation of the bar environment. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this non-exempt position is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, including cocktails and coffee drinks when needed. The individual will not only craft drinks with precision and care, ensuring the correct measurements and quality of each cocktail, especially the signature selections, but will also foster an inviting and warm atmosphere for guests at the bar and those awaiting seating. The Bartender is tasked with managing tabs, accurately entering orders, keeping bar inventories such as beers, wines, juices, and waters well-stocked, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the bar area in full compliance with health and safety standards. This role requires a balance of multitasking skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal communication skills to interact courteously and effectively with guests, management, delivery personnel, and fellow staff members.

Additionally, the Bartender is expected to engage in continuous learning about SA Hospitality Group's food, wine, and cocktail menus, becoming an expert on the brands and offerings. Daily duties involve restocking supplies, maintaining the bar’s presentation throughout service hours, completing closing checklists, handling cash drawer checkout, and communicating promptly about any operational issues such as equipment malfunctions. The role also includes some involvement with delivery logistics assisting couriers and managing delivery tablets as needed. Job Duties

  • Greet bar guests and make guests waiting for tables feel welcomed and acknowledged
  • Make cocktails and coffee drinks for dining room as ordered by servers and serve bar guests
  • Ensure proper measurements of cocktail ingredients especially signature cocktails
  • Ensure credit card is used to open any tabs not closed immediately
  • Enter all drinks correctly on checks
  • Maintain correct pars of beers wines by the glass juices and waters in bar refrigerators
  • Maintain appearance of bar throughout service
  • Follow and complete closing bar checklist prior to departure unless otherwise assigned
  • Perform cash drawer checkout and place cash payments in envelope in office
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of bar and front lounge area in accordance with Health Department standards
  • Requisition needed liquor beer and wine and keep bar stocked
  • Make sure all ingredients and garnishes needed for drinks are available
  • Communicate problems with lighting cooling units to management
  • Leave bar and coffee station clean and fully stocked at end of shift
  • Assist with delivery tablets and couriers as needed
  • Maintain expertise on food wine and cocktail menu
  • Be an expert on brand and offerings
