Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Must be able to communicate effectively by telephone and in person
  • Must have basic computer/MICROS knowledge
  • Must have alcohol training certification (TABC)
  • Must have Food Handler permit
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision
  • Familiar with local area and attractions
  • Read, write and speak English fluently
  • Successful completion of criminal background
  • Must be flexible regarding scheduling, including weekends and holidays
  • Requires ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Must be well organized with ability to handle multiple responsibilities and changing priorities
  • Must be team-oriented and able to work collaboratively
  • Must be customer service focused demonstrating compassion and patience
  • Takes pride in personal appearance and professional demeanor
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment providing courteous service and guest engagement
  • Ability to continuously stand and move throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs during shift
  • Ability to bend, kneel and work with dexterity
  • Ability to count cash and operate cash register

Job Qualifications

  • High-school graduate or equivalent
  • Experience in bartending or beverage service in a hospitality setting preferred
  • Knowledge of local area attractions and hotel services
  • Proficiency with MICROS or similar point of sale systems
  • Certification in alcohol training (e.g., TABC)
  • Food Handler permit
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve drinks to guests and servers following established company guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and responsible alcohol service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area including disposal of waste and cleaning glassware
  • Handle cash, credit, and room charge transactions accurately as per company policies
  • Manage inventory of spirits, non-alcoholic ingredients, and supplies including opening and closing stock counts
  • Engage with guests in a cordial and professional manner to enhance satisfaction and address inquiries or feedback
  • Upsell and suggest food and beverage promotions to guests to increase sales potential
