Job Duties
- Collect payments for drinks/meals served
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Balance cash receipts
- Attempt to limit problem and liability related to customer's excessive drinking by persuading customers to stop drinking or ordering transportation for intoxicated patrons
- Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
- Take beverage orders from serving staff or patrons
- Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons
- Serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar
- Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays
- Order or requisition liquors and supplies
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services and give entertainment suggestions and travel directions
- Welcome guests and respond to requests promptly and professionally
- Check working condition of equipment and report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor
- Know all safety and emergency procedures
- Communicate with previous and following shifts
- Ensure compliance with energy conservation and job safety requirements
- Proactively maintain assigned areas and equipment
- Ensure efficient completion of daily assignments in a timely manner
- Report all safety concerns to management
- Attend and participate in mandatory trainings and meetings
- Be flexible with schedule and assignments
- Maintain effective performance under pressure
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
