We are currently seeking an experienced Bartender who will play a crucial role in ensuring positive guest interactions while providing efficient and accurate beverage service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mixing and serving cocktails and other beverages with a friendly demeanor, maintaining a clean and organized bar environment, and cooperating seamlessly with restaurant servers. The role requires a detailed understanding of drink preparation, the ability to follow standard recipes, and the capacity to offer food items responsibly when appropriate. This position requires adherence to company policies including responsible alcohol service laws and excellent cash handling skills.
The Bartender will greet guests promptly, take beverage orders either from servers or directly from guests, and prepare drinks in compliance with company standards, enhancing the overall dining and drinking experience. By verifying age requirements rigorously and reporting any underage or intoxicated guests, the candidate will uphold safety and legal protocols. Additionally, the Bartender will be responsible for POS operations, including ringing up orders, collecting payment, balancing receipts, and handling cash following established procedures. Maintaining an organized bar stocked with tools and products necessary for smooth operations will also be part of the daily duties.
Beyond beverage service, the Bartender will contribute to the establishment’s ambiance by arranging bottles, glassware, and beverage products attractively. Regular cleaning, set-up, and breakdown of the bar area ensure that the workspace remains sanitary and efficient. Participation in scheduled catering events expands the role’s reach beyond the bar itself, requiring flexibility and adaptability. Job Requirements
- Must be certified in Responsible Alcohol Service by applicable agency
- Must be 21 years of age or older based on state law
- 1-2 years experience in bartending preferred
- Previous experience with Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi and sake preferred
- Basic understanding of wine, spirits and sake preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
