Job Description

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Bartender at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Bartender will work under the direction of the Director of Food & Beverage and the Food & Beverage Manager, fulfilling various responsibilities in accordance with ASM policies.

Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions
excellent customer service skills
must be able to pass a background check, including a credit history report
must be able to obtain an ABO Card and LATC Permit
non-slip shoes required
at least one-year experience as a bartender in restaurants (with banquet facilities), convention centers, or arenas
experience with upscale dining preferred
high school diploma or GED preferred
1-2 years' experience as a bartender in a high-volume setting preferred
good oral communication skills
excellent hospitality and customer service skills
knowledge of popular mixed drink recipes
mature judgment and professionalism
basic mathematical skills
ability to operate a cash register and credit card machine
must be able to lift 45 pounds unaided
repetitive eye/hand coordination
good manual dexterity
