Job Description

The Offutt Event Center, a dynamic facility dedicated to hosting a variety of events and gatherings, is seeking a qualified individual for a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position. This unique role serves the Offutt Event Center, providing essential services that contribute significantly to the venue's operation and guest experience. This position focuses primarily on the preparation and service of alcoholic beverages for retail sale within the event center environment. The role requires a deep understanding and knowledge of a wide variety of beverages, including the skill to mix diverse and exotic drinks by combining ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit. The bartender must be adept at recognizing intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve any issues promptly or seek assistance when necessary, ensuring the safety and comfort of all guests. This position also demands adherence to strict cash handling procedures and the physical capability to frequently lift and handle objects ranging from 5 to over 40 pounds. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively while engaging with the public is critical for success in this role.

This is an OTHER employment type position under the Non-appropriated Fund classification, and applicants are encouraged to apply by the closing date of June 10, 2026. Education substitution for experience is not permitted, and any foreign education must be evaluated and deemed equivalent to conventional U.S. education standards. Job Requirements
