Job Description

Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering a workplace culture that values diversity and inclusion. As a prominent hotel company, Marriott International owns and manages a diverse portfolio of properties worldwide, ranging from luxury resorts to boutique hotels. Among its distinguished brands is the Autograph Collection, a curation of unique four and five-star independent hotels, each offering distinct character, original design, and memorable guest experiences tailored to the individuality of today’s travelers. This collection is designed for "The Individualist," a guest who seeks more than just a place to stay but desires a travel experience that enriches their personal story through distinctive and bold hospitality offerings. Marriott International is dedicated to equal opportunity employment, promoting an inclusive environment where associates from all backgrounds can thrive, enhance their skills, and build meaningful careers.

The role of Bartender is part-time and based at the Autograph Collection location in Dearborn, Michigan. The shift primarily targets evening hours with a preference for availability on weekends, compensating at $13.95 per hour. This position plays a critical role in elevating the guest experience by offering more than simply drink preparation. Bartenders are envisioned as hosts and curators of atmosphere, responsible for not only crafting beverages but also contributing to a positive, safe, and engaging environment.

Bartenders at Marriott bring a passion for hospitality combined with a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities extend beyond the bar to include broader guest service duties, ensuring a seamless experience from the moment the guest enters the space to when they leave. The ideal bartender is vigilant about emerging beverage trends, keen to integrate micro-local offerings, and responsive to evolving guest preferences. Beyond beverage expertise, this role necessitates strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with guests, colleagues, and the wider community. Bartenders are accountable for maintaining operational excellence by keeping the bar area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards, while managing financial transactions accurately. As a hands-on team member, the bartender must be physically able to stand, move, and lift items as needed, contributing to a dynamic work environment.

Emphasizing the importance of professionalism, Marriot International expects bartenders to uphold company policies rigorously, maintain confidentiality, and present a polished appearance while representing the brand. This position is designed for individuals who are proactive, adaptable, and eager to provide superior service that enhances the hotel's reputation. With a minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related work experience, candidates prepared to deliver personalized, attentive service in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting will thrive.

Joining Marriott’s Autograph Collection means becoming part of a global hospitality family that values individual expression, teamwork, and career growth opportunities. Employees are encouraged to be their best selves, find purpose in their work, and contribute to an inclusive culture where their unique talents are appreciated and developed. If you seek a vibrant, engaging role within a respected and dynamic hospitality brand, this bartender position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact and grow professionally.
