The role of Bartender at Invited is a vital position within the Food & Beverage team. Bartenders are responsible for maintaining beverage control, ensuring accurate pouring and serving of beverages, and upholding high standards of cleanliness and organization within the bar area. This role demands exceptional service delivery that aligns with the club's distinguished standards and consistently exceeds member expectations. A bartender at Invited not only serves drinks but also plays a key role in creating personalized and memorable experiences for members and guests. The job requires maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all liquors, beers, and wines offered, accurately executing orders, and practicing professional service recovery when necessary. The position reports to senior leadership in the Food & Beverage department, such as the Director of Food & Beverage or Director of Beverage, ensuring a cohesive and quality-driven operation.

Bartenders at Invited engage in various daily responsibilities, including setting up the bar with garnishes, glassware, and ice, regularly sanitizing and maintaining cleanliness, and supporting their teammates to foster a positive and efficient work environment. Attention to detail is critical when it comes to beverage control, restocking supplies, and familiarizing oneself with exclusive menu features and specials. The bartender also embraces a proactive role, assisting members with a warm and welcoming attitude, delivering the signature 3-steps of service, and contributing to a seamless and professional club atmosphere. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • certification in alcohol and food safety awareness
  • previous experience in Food & Beverage service
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong commitment to ethical work standards
  • ability to work in indoor and occasional outdoor environments
  • basic knowledge of bar and wine service
  • ability to open a bottle of wine properly
  • ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
  • ability to work in varying temperatures and environments with exposure to dust, fumes, or gases
  • capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • effective communication skills including talking and hearing with sufficient visual acuity

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • certification in alcohol and food safety awareness
  • previous experience in Food & Beverage service
  • excellent communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
  • strong commitment to maintaining the highest ethical work standards
  • comfortable working in both indoor and occasional outdoor environments
  • basic bar and wine knowledge, including but not limited to various cocktails and wine varietals
  • ability to properly open a bottle of wine with a wine tool

Job Duties

  • Deliver high standards of service as outlined in the F&B service training program
  • assist with the service of food and beverages to members and guests at the bar
  • know members' names, greet them promptly, provide a warm and personalized experience
  • accurately execute member and guest orders and requests in a timely manner
  • address and resolve member and guest complaints professionally, notifying management of issues and practicing effective service recovery
  • prepare the bar area for service by setting up bottles, garnishes, glassware, and ice, ensuring all items are fully stocked and in place at the start of each shift
  • consistently check the bar area for cleanliness and maintain an orderly and organized work area, including regular sanitizing
