Job Description

Ascent Hospitality stands as a distinguished leader in the hospitality industry, recognized for its expansive portfolio of hotels and a robust pipeline of new properties and acquisitions. Beyond the impressive scale and numbers, Ascent Hospitality prides itself on a culture deeply rooted in valuing people — both its team members and guests. This commitment to people-centric values defines the company’s foundation, making it a place where exceptional guest experiences and memorable team member journeys come to life. Within Ascent Hospitality, an emphasis is placed on fostering collaboration and a unified purpose among its workforce, creating an environment where individuals with a passion to serve, strong communication skills, and an ability to excel in challenges and change can thrive.

Ascent Hospitality is currently seeking a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join their dynamic team in the role of Bartender. This position is ideal for a bright and innovative mixologist who is passionate about exploring new beverage trends and creating inviting atmospheres that engage and excite guests. The bartender role is critical in shaping the guest experience by offering a diverse and seasonally inspired beverage menu coupled with warm conversations and personalized service. At Ascent Hospitality, bartenders are not only skilled drink makers but also ambassadors of hospitality, setting the tone for relaxation and enjoyment after a long day. The company values bartenders who take pride in their craft, consistently bringing energy and enthusiasm behind the bar to ensure guests feel welcome and eager to return.

The role involves significant responsibilities, including crafting cocktails based on standard ingredient recipes with prudent portion control, maintaining the bar setup and inventory, and ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and corporate regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages. Bartenders at Ascent Hospitality are expected to maintain product quality by managing fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily. Guest engagement is a pivotal part of the job, requiring attentive and courteous interactions that encourage repeat patronage and contribute to an unforgettable guest experience.

This position demands strong organizational skills to manage stocking and requisitioning of supplies, handling cash transactions accurately, and securing the bar area. Integrity, accountability, and teamwork are core values embedded in this role, alongside the flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Ascent Hospitality offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401k with employer match, paid time off, uniforms, and a team member hotel discount program. Through these offerings and a supportive culture, Ascent Hospitality ensures that their team members are well equipped and motivated to lead the hospitality experience in their hotels with pride and professionalism.
