Within HHM Hotels, the Beverage Server role plays a crucial part in ensuring guests enjoy a welcoming and enjoyable food and beverage experience. The Beverage Server is responsible for maintaining clean and organized bar areas, preparing garnishes by slicing and pitting fruit, and ensuring compliance with age verification laws when serving alcohol. They prepare and serve drink and food orders and may also take orders and clear tables in bar and lounge areas. Additionally, they handle the payment process using the guest check system and are trained to identify and manage intoxicated guests responsibly. Inventory management is another important aspect, involving completing beverage requisitions to maintain par levels and assisting with beverage inventory counts.
In support of sustainability efforts, employees are expected to follow HHM's EarthView program guidelines, which promote environmentally responsible practices. Safety is a top priority, so beverage servers are required to adhere to MSDS and OSHA standards, wear protective gear, and practice safe work habits. Throughout every interaction, the focus is on ensuring overall guest satisfaction by responding promptly to their needs and enhancing the hospitality experience.
The role offers a dynamic work environment, requiring physical stamina to stand for extended periods, walk, lift, bend, and reach. Work schedules vary and may include holidays, weekends, and different shifts. Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- TIPS certified a plus
- Previous bartending/mixologist experience required or equivalent training
- Food Sanitation certificate a plus, required within 90 days of employment

Job Duties
- Serve beverages and food in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
- Maintain clean and organized bar areas
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Prepare and serve drink and food orders
- Take orders, and serve and clear food and beverage to guests seated at tables in bar and lounge areas
- Issue guest check and complete payment process
- Follow standards for identifying and managing intoxicated guests
- Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels
- Complete required side work prior to shift end
- Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
- Assist with taking beverage inventory
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Perform other duties as requested by management
