SSP America is a leading operator of eateries located throughout General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, WI. Currently, SSP America is looking to hire Bartenders for multiple restaurants located inside General Mitchell International Airport. These positions are full-time and come with benefits such as paid vacation and sick time. Responsibilities include processing orders using a point of sale (POS) system, handling payment transactions, serving a variety of cold, frozen, and hot drinks, and assisting with food service. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the bar and work areas is essential, along with routine cleaning of equipment and utensils. Additionally, bartenders play a key role in supplying the bar efficiently, transferring stock and supplies between storage and operational areas.

In addition to technical skills, SSP America values bartenders who demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication abilities to engage warmly with guests. The company requires bartenders to be fluent in English, both verbal and written, in order to communicate effectively and uphold high service standards. Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year bartending experience
  • Certification by state, federal, or local required training program
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages
  • Verbal and written English language proficiency
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total other charges, and understand weights and measurements

Job Duties

  • Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
  • Receive payment from the customer and process change
  • Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day
  • Clean equipment and utensils, remove trash, sweep and mop work area, dust and clean
  • Other duties as assigned
