This role is for a Beverage Server at HHM Hotels, a crucial position within their food and beverage department. The Beverage Server is responsible for delivering beverages and food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. The position offers a clear path for career growth, with opportunities to advance through roles such as Beverage Manager, Restaurant Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, and Food & Beverage Manager.
The role requires the Beverage Server to maintain clean and organized bar areas, prepare garnishes such as sliced and pitted fruit, verify customer age for alcohol purchases, and serve orders efficiently. Additional duties include taking orders in bar and lounge areas, processing guest payments, managing intoxicated guests according to company standards, maintaining beverage inventory, and completing side work before shift end. The Beverage Server also supports HHM Hotels' sustainability initiatives through the EarthView program and adheres to strict safety standards including OSHA regulations.
Ideal candidates will have previous bartending or mixology experience, with preferred qualifications including TIPS certification and a Food Sanitation certificate to be obtained within 90 days of employment. High school diploma is preferred. Job Duties
- Serve beverages and or food in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
- Maintain clean and organize bar areas
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Prepare and serve drink and or food orders
- Take orders, and serve and clear food and beverage to guests seated at tables in bar and lounge areas
- Issue guest check and complete payment process
- Follow standards for identifying and managing intoxicated guests
- Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels as needed
- Complete required side work prior to shift end
- Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
- Assist with taking beverage inventory
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Perform other duties as requested by management
