Wyndemere is a distinguished senior living community situated just outside downtown Wheaton, Illinois. As a respected provider of senior living solutions, Wyndemere offers a warm and welcoming environment tailored to meet the evolving needs of its residents. The community is designed to provide a vibrant, engaging lifestyle that fosters independence and social connection, making it an ideal setting for seniors seeking a supportive yet active living experience. At Wyndemere, the focus is on delivering exceptional care, comfort, and convenience through a variety of amenities, services, and programs that enhance the quality of life for every resident. The team at Wyndemere is driven by a passion for serving seniors, with a commitment to professionalism, compassion, and respect for the life stories and unique experiences of each resident.
Currently, Wyndemere is seeking a hospitality-focused Bartender to join their team at the Independent Living facility on campus. This part-time opportunity offers approximately 20 hours per week, with shifts scheduled from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm and a preference for open availability. The position offers competitive compensation at a rate of $21.63 per hour, complemented by a benefits package that includes medical, vision, dental insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and 23 days of paid time off annually.
The Bartender role at Wyndemere is more than just serving drinks – it is about enriching the social ambiance of the community while ensuring residents and guests receive impeccable hospitality service. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages such as cocktails, wine, and beer, strictly adhering to all applicable state and local alcohol service regulations. In addition to beverage service, the role involves food service to residents and guests, maintaining inventory levels, and preparing garnishes. Ensuring the bar lounge, wine room, and work areas remain clean and organized is also a critical element of the job.
Key responsibilities include communicating effectively with management regarding any concerns from residents or guests and assisting with maintaining departmental sanitation standards. The role requires someone who is not just skilled with bartending techniques but who also possesses a genuine passion for senior engagement and hospitality. A physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds is necessary to meet the demands of the job.
For individuals who are enthusiastic about hospitality and possess a compassionate attitude towards seniors, this position offers a unique and fulfilling opportunity to be part of a community-focused organization that values its employees and the residents alike.
