We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Beverage Server to join our team. This role is designed for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to the overall guest experience. The Beverage Server will be responsible for serving beverages and/or food efficiently and courteously, ensuring that service is delivered in a timely manner that meets, if not exceeds, guest expectations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a genuine desire to engage with guests, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in the bar and lounge areas.
This position offers a structured growth path, providing opportunities to advance to roles such as Beverage Manager, Restaurant Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, and eventually Food & Beverage Manager. The Beverage Server’s primary focus includes maintaining clean and organized bar areas, preparing garnishes by slicing and pitting fruit, verifying customer age requirements for alcohol purchase, and managing orders effectively. The role also involves the responsibility of handling payment transactions, addressing intoxicated guests according to company policies, completing inventory and beverage requisitions, and assisting with side work to ensure smooth shift transitions.
Candidates will engage with customers in a manner that enhances guest satisfaction scores, contributing positively to the department's overall performance. The position demands adherence to safety standards including the use of protective equipment and compliance with OSHA guidelines. Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- Previous bartending/mixologist experience required or equivalent training
- Food Sanitation certificate required within 90 days of employment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Willingness to work varying shifts including holidays and weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- TIPS certified a plus
- Previous bartending/mixologist experience required or equivalent training
- Food Sanitation certificate a plus, required within 90 days of employment
Job Duties
- Serve beverages and/or food in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
- Maintain clean and organize bar areas
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Prepare and serve drink and/or food orders
- Take orders, serve and clear food and beverage to guests seated at tables in bar and lounge areas
- Issue guest check and complete payment process
- Follow standards for identifying and managing intoxicated guests
- Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels as needed
- Complete required side work prior to shift end
- Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
- Assist with taking beverage inventory
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Perform other duties as requested by management
