Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned restaurant chain that began as a family-owned business with a vision to connect people with seafood and coastal cuisine. Over the course of more than fifty years, Red Lobster has grown into a family of more than 500 restaurants, each a testament to the founding passion of offering guests memorable dining experiences. The company prides itself not only on serving delicious meals but also on being deeply integrated within the communities it serves. Every visit to Red Lobster is more than just dining; it's an invitation to join a family where new friends turn into familiar faces. The company fosters a warm and welcoming environment, making every customer feel valued and special, contributing to the lasting reputation it has built in the industry.
Working at Red Lobster means becoming part of a team that is dedicated to quality, community, and career growth. The company offers flexible scheduling and competitive salaries, with weekly pay that supports a stable income for its employees. Employees benefit from affordable insurance options, including medical, dental, and vision, with costs starting at less than $10 per week, along with life insurance, short-term disability coverage, and voluntary benefits to ensure peace of mind. Additionally, Red Lobster provides a 401(k) savings plan with company contributions after one year of service, rewarding loyalty and encouraging long-term financial planning. Paid anniversary bonuses, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest further enhance the employee experience.
The bartender role at Red Lobster is central to creating a remarkable dining atmosphere. As a bartender, you will be responsible for greeting customers with a warm smile as they are seated, preparing the bar area, including the pouring stations and glassware, and ensuring that beverage supplies are restocked as needed. You will suggest beverages, appetizers, and desserts to enhance the dining experience while preparing drinks to standard recipes with the correct garnishes and glassware. Accuracy in taking food and drink orders and entering them correctly into the POS system is essential. Throughout the customer’s visit, you will ensure attentive service, offer drink refills, and promptly clear items no longer in use. Timely delivery and settlement of bills, along with friendly farewells encouraging customers to return, contribute to a positive guest experience. Maintaining strict adherence to food safety standards ensures a safe and hygienic environment for all patrons.
This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as bending, reaching, crouching, and safely lifting up to 30 pounds. Standing for shifts that may last between 8 and 12 hours, working collaboratively within a team, paying close attention to detail, and multitasking efficiently are key to success in this position. Red Lobster is committed to accommodating individuals with disabilities by making reasonable adaptations to enable them to perform essential job functions.
At Red Lobster, the future holds significant opportunities for growth and achievement. The company values diversity and inclusion, standing as an equal opportunity employer that welcomes applicants regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. This commitment fosters a respectful and supportive workplace where everyone has the chance to thrive. With competitive pay ranging from $17.13 to $25.00 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities, there has never been a better time to join Red Lobster and become part of its vibrant family.
