As a Bartender at Red Lobster, you will play a vital role in delivering a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests. Your responsibilities will revolve around creating a positive first impression by greeting customers with a smile, preparing the bar areas thoroughly before service begins, and keeping stations replenished throughout shifts. You will use your knowledge and skills to suggest drink options, appetizers, and desserts that enhance the guest experience while ensuring all beverages are prepared according to company recipes, including appropriate glassware and garnishes. Attention to detail is critical as you take accurate food and drink orders and enter them precisely into the point-of-sale system. Throughout service, you will monitor guest satisfaction, offer drink refills, and promptly clear used items to maintain a clean and inviting environment. Closing out customer checks in a timely, friendly manner and encouraging return visits are key parts of your role. Adhering strictly to all food safety standards is essential for maintaining the health and safety of guests and staff. This position requires physical stamina including the ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and safely lift up to 30 pounds, reflecting the active nature of restaurant work. Teamwork and multitasking abilities are important to thrive in this fast-paced setting with a focus on detail. Job Requirements
- Must meet minimum age requirement and be authorized to work in the United States
- ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds
- capability to stand for 8 to 12 hour shifts
- ability to work well in a team environment with attention to detail and multitasking skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior bartending or customer service experience preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of drink preparation and cocktail recipes
- basic math skills for handling cash and POS transactions
- team player with attention to detail
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile when seated
- prepare the bar including pour stations and glassware before opening
- restock limited drink supplies, mixes, and garnishes as needed
- suggest sales of drinks, appetizers, and desserts
- prepare all drinks according to standard recipes using proper glassware and garnishes
- accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
- ensure guests are well attended to, offer refills, and clear unused items
- deliver and settle guest checks promptly, thank guests and invite them to return
- follow all food safety standards
