Job Description
This job opening is with a reputable and lively establishment known for delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences in a fast-paced, energetic environment. Focused on creating a welcoming atmosphere, the company values professionalism, teamwork, and high-quality service as core components of its operation. Recognized as a top dining and entertainment venue, the establishment fosters a culture where employees thrive by upholding service excellence and guest satisfaction. It is a restaurant and bar setting where staff collaborate closely to ensure guests receive prompt, attentive, and courteous bar service.
The Bartender role is central to this establishment’s commitment to quality and efficiency. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of providing rapid, warm, and professional food and beverage service to multiple guests simultaneously, either directly or by assisting servers and barbacks. This position involves not only the preparation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages adhering strictly to company recipes but also requires maintaining a positive and energetic attitude throughout their shift. The Bartender will be required to expertly handle the point-of-sale system, manage inventory, and use sales techniques to maximize revenue.
This role demands a thorough understanding of alcoholic beverages, including the knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, glassware, garnishes, and drink recipes. In addition to technical skills, the role emphasizes compliance with all applicable laws regarding alcohol service, which includes avoiding service to underage or intoxicated patrons. Maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and setting up or breaking down the bar area are additional essential responsibilities. As employees are expected to exhibit dependable, reliable, and trustworthy behavior, punctuality and professionalism are critical components of the daily work ethic.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old to meet the State of California’s legal requirements for alcohol service. Previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant or bar setting is essential, with a preference for at least two years of experience. Certifications such as Food Handlers Card and ABC Service Certification are mandatory, while CPR and First Aid training are preferred but not required. The work environment can be fast-moving and physically demanding, including the need to work around high temperatures and confined spaces, as well as lift weights of up to 25 lbs.
This position offers compensation at $17.75 per hour plus tips, reflecting both the skill and dedication needed to excel as part of the team. The company also supports grooming and attire policies that promote a neat and professional appearance while accommodating religious and medical needs. Language skills beyond English are an advantage, adding to the team’s ability to enhance guest interactions in a multicultural setting. Overall, this Bartender role provides an exciting opportunity for a personable, skilled individual to grow their career within a dynamic and customer-focused hospitality environment.
