The role of Bartender is located at the Courtyard San Diego Rancho Bernardo in California. This position is ideal for someone passionate about mixology and delivering attentive hospitality to create memorable guest experiences. As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guests receive a superior food and beverage experience, elevating their stay and encouraging repeat visits. This position entails working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while engaging guests in meaningful conversations to foster loyalty. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality service by skillfully mixing cocktails, serving a variety of beverages including wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, and sometimes serving food.

Beyond preparing and serving drinks, the Bartender will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, managing inventory, and working collaboratively with other departments to uphold the hotel's operational standards.   • Ability to stand and move around for an entire shift
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Previous food and beverage and/or serving experience
  • Some locations may require specific bartending experience

Job Duties

  • Serve guests in the bar, restaurant and room service attentively and efficiently
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks
  • Serve wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Serve food prepared in the restaurant as needed
  • Offer both flexibility and creativity to meet guest requests
  • Complete guest orders and accurately collect payments
  • Clean and wash bar ware, utensils and bar area
  • Restock and prep bar items as needed
  • Assist with quality, cleanliness and organization of the bar, restaurant and kitchen
  • Assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items
  • Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments
