This approach creates a welcoming environment both for guests and staff, supporting the delivery of memorable moments and excellent customer experiences.
As part of the broader Mainsail Lodging & Development brand, Luminary Hotel & Co. benefits from a well-established foundation in hospitality management, blending local charm with high service standards. The company operates with a dedicated management team at the Beacon Social Drinkery within the hotel, offering a vibrant bar experience where guests can enjoy expertly crafted beverages and food pairings. The establishment embraces innovation, quality, and personalized service, setting it apart in the competitive Fort Myers hospitality market.
The Beacon Bartender position is a crucial role within the hotel's food and beverage team, directly responsible for ensuring superior guest service in accordance with Luminary Hotel & Co. and Mainsail Lodging & Development standards. This role demands more than just drink-making skills; it requires an engaging personality, comprehensive knowledge of mixology, wines, and food, and the ability to maintain a clean, inviting bar environment. Bartenders at Beacon Social Drinkery craft both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following specific recipes, ensuring consistent quality that complements the venue's food menu.
Working as a Beacon Bartender means curating guests' experiences with tailored recommendations and attentive service, all while managing bar operations efficiently. The role includes responsibilities such as cocktail crafting, food running when necessary, pairing wines with meals, managing cash handling procedures, and maintaining cleanliness of the bar area and equipment. Employees must be able to multitask, handle busy shifts, and communicate effectively with guests and team members alike.
This is a non-exempt hourly position reporting to the Beacon General Manager, Assistant Manager, and Supervisor. The job requires a dynamic individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and uphold the highest hospitality standards. Physical demands like lifting, standing for long periods, and operating technologically equipped tools such as tablets or iPads are also part of daily activities. Mental agility is essential for making sound judgments quickly, managing multiple tasks, and handling challenging situations professionally.
At Luminary Hotel & Co., the hospitality business operates 24/7, seven days a week, meaning schedule flexibility and commitment to the service culture are vital. Employees may be required to adjust shifts according to business needs. The company emphasizes a hospitable service atmosphere at all times, ensuring guests receive consistent and excellent care. Being part of the Luminary Hotel & Co. team offers opportunities for career development, ongoing training, and a supportive work environment.
Joining the Luminary Hotel & Co. as a Beacon Bartender opens doors to a rewarding hospitality career in a vibrant location with competitive benefits. The company prides itself on promoting equal opportunity and diversity in the workplace, fostering an inclusive environment where all employees feel valued and respected. This role offers the chance to grow professionally while contributing to a beloved local hospitality destination.
