Job Description

SAVOR, ASM Global, and SMG are renowned leaders in the management of privately owned public assembly facilities, specializing in delivering exceptional event experiences across various high-profile venues. One such venue is the accesso ShoWare Center, located in Kent, Washington, which serves as a state-of-the-art arena hosting concerts, sporting events, family shows, and other major public gatherings. These organizations are committed to providing top-notch customer experiences by maintaining high standards of service, safety, and operational excellence.

The accesso ShoWare Center is currently seeking a professional and dynamic Bartender to join their Catering Department. This is an hourly, non-exempt position offering a competitive pay rate of $19.65 per hour. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage or the Director of Food and Beverage, the Bartender plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding beverage service while adhering strictly to Washington State liquor laws and company policies. This position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and who can foster a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

The Bartender is responsible for preparing, pouring, and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and professionalism. This role involves accurately entering drink orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling payments responsibly, and managing guest tabs efficiently. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, glassware, and equipment is also a key aspect of the job.

This role demands adherence to all ASM Global, SMG, and accesso ShoWare Center policies regarding cash handling, food safety, and alcohol service compliance. The Bartender must verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance, consistently serve beverages following established recipes and presentation standards, and manage bar displays to enhance the visual appeal of the service area.

In addition to technical skills, exemplary customer service is paramount. The Bartender will be expected to interact professionally and warmly with guests to create a memorable experience that encourages repeat visits. Effective communication and teamwork with coworkers and management are essential to supporting operational success. The opportunity to work nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary given the event-driven nature of the venue.

Experience in an arena or fast-paced hospitality environment is considered a plus. Candidates must possess current and valid Food Handler’s and Class 12 Mixology permits, demonstrating their knowledge and legal compliance in beverage service. This role requires physical stamina including prolonged standing, constant movement, occasional stair climbing, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.

Joining the accesso ShoWare Center team means becoming part of a respected organization dedicated to career development and employee well-being. Employees are eligible for an array of benefits including 401(k) plans after completing specific eligibility hours, paid holidays at time and a half, sick leave accrual, and medical, dental, and vision benefits for employees and their families upon meeting eligibility criteria.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Bartender who values delivering an elevated guest experience in a vibrant, supportive, and professional environment. Those interested in growing their career in the hospitality industry are encouraged to apply and join a team that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
