The role of a Bartender at SSP America is vital in delivering outstanding guest experiences by providing excellent beverage and food service. The Bartender will be responsible for accurately processing customer orders using the POS system, receiving payments, and serving a wide variety of cold, frozen, and hot drinks along with food items. In addition to interacting with customers, the Bartender will manage inventory by transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the workday. Additional responsibilities include cleaning equipment and utensils, maintaining a tidy work environment through tasks like trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
Candidates for this position should possess a minimum age of 21 and have at least one year of bartending experience, including certification as required by state, federal, or local training programs. The role demands strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and manage orders. Basic food and beverage preparation knowledge, especially with alcoholic beverages, is essential. Job Requirements

- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand weights and measurements
- Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check and order and close out a check
- Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time
Job Duties
- Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
- Receive payment from the customer and process change
- Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day
- Clean equipment and utensils, removes trash, sweep and mop work area, dust and clean
- Other duties as assigned
