The role of a team member at Smokey Bones is dynamic and integral to ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities include cleaning and rolling silverware for service, maintaining a clean bar area by removing dirty utensils, plates, and drinks, and resetting the bar after guest departures. The position also involves sweeping the bar area, taking out trash, and fulfilling any additional cleaning duties required to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety. Team members assist guests throughout their dining experience, escalating any issues to management when necessary and striving to resolve problems constructively. Strong communication skillsets are essential for coordinating with other teammates to ensure all guest needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Employees must be legally permitted to serve and pour alcohol, have the ability to read recipes, and prepare drinks according to Smokey Bones' quality standards. Additional responsibilities include helping with food running, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations in kitchen and dining areas, and following directions from managers throughout shifts. The role demands a combination of customer service excellence, teamwork, high energy levels, and a keen attention to detail.
Physical stamina is important, as team members should be able to bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, remain standing and active for extended 8-12 hour shifts, and adapt to varying temperature conditions in the work environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at working in loud environments while maintaining clear communication with guests and colleagues alike.
