The Bartender position at Ojos Locos is essential in ensuring that guests receive prompt and accurate beverage and food service in a bustling restaurant setting. This role is fast-paced and demands a combination of speed, efficiency, and adherence to company standards. Bartenders at Ojos Locos must work cohesively within a team environment while maintaining a sharp focus on guest interaction and satisfaction. Responsibilities include preparing drinks according to established specifications, verifying customers’ drinking age to comply with legal regulations, and operating POS systems for accurate sales processing. Additionally, bartenders are responsible for monitoring guests for any signs of overconsumption or suspicious behavior to maintain a safe environment. This hands-on role further involves maintaining cleanliness at the bar, performing light housekeeping duties, and ensuring the bar area is set up and ready for service at the start of each shift. Job Requirements

  • Previous bartending experience preferred
  • Must be of legal drinking age

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a bartender in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team environment
  • Knowledge of beverage preparation and mixology techniques
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
  • Ability to verify legal drinking age accurately
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Adhering to all image and costume guidelines
  • Interaction with and entertainment of guests
  • Ensure that chicas get their drinks fast and efficiently
  • Prepare all beverages according to Ojos Locos specifications
  • Ensure that all guests have their drinking age verified
  • Operate a POS system to compute sale prices, total purchases, process cash/credit payment and provide customer with proper receipt and change
  • Ensure accurate records (including cash-out and tip reports)
  • Monitor guests for visible intoxication or suspicious activities and follow appropriate protocol, including notifying supervisor or security
  • Keep work area clean by manicuring bar, removing dishware/trash and performing light housekeeping duties
  • Complete set-up, side work and closing procedures, including preparing bar for service prior to opening or closing, stocking all supplies, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring bar/lounge area is in optimal condition for next shift
  • All other duties as assigned
