Job Description

Founded as a family-owned establishment, Red Lobster has grown into a network of more than 500 restaurants. The company takes pride in delivering a special connection to seafood and the coast, creating memorable dining experiences for its guests. Red Lobster is more than just a place to eat; it is a welcoming community where new friends become familiar faces. The brand's commitment to quality, service, and atmosphere has made it a beloved destination for special meals and cherished moments with family and friends.

This job opening is for a Bartender at Red Lobster, an opportunity to join an energetic and customer-focused team. The position offers competitive weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and a variety of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week. Additionally, employees can access life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service. Other perks include anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster also emphasizes career advancement, offering training and growth opportunities to help employees develop professionally.

The Bartender role is integral to creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests. Key responsibilities include greeting customers with a smile as they sit, preparing the bar and stations for service, and restocking beverages, mixes, and garnishes as needed. Bartenders are expected to suggest sales of drinks, appetizers, and desserts, prepare drinks according to established standards using proper recipes and garnishes, and accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system. Ensuring attentive customer service includes offering refills and promptly clearing unused items. Closing out and settling customer bills while thanking guests and inviting them to return are also essential tasks. Compliance with all food safety regulations is mandatory.

Physical demands for this role require the ability to bend, reach, squat, and safely lift up to 30 pounds. Bartenders should be capable of standing for shifts lasting between eight to twelve hours and work efficiently in a team-oriented environment with strong attention to detail and multitasking ability. Reasonable accommodations are available to support employees with disabilities in performing essential job functions.

Joining Red Lobster means being part of an exciting future, with great plans on the horizon for the company. The organization prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer committed to maintaining a welcoming workplace for all employees and applicants, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. Now is an excellent time to become a member of the Red Lobster family, helping to create memorable dining experiences while growing your career in a supportive environment.
