Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Completion of basic food handling training and any local or state mandated certification or food handlers permit
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Knowledge of cash handling and basic math
- Physical ability to perform frequent bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Compliance with safety and sanitation procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively with diverse guests
- Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to follow directions accurately
- Energetic and friendly attitude
- Ability to converse and comprehend English regularly and effectively
Job Duties
- Greets guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- Possesses full knowledge of bar and menu items and makes recommendations
- Accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- Verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- Ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- Consistently uses suggestive selling techniques
- Collaborates with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
- Delivers food and beverage orders within established time frames
- Processes payment for completed guest orders
- Maintains appropriate stock levels for the bar
- Assists the general manager on duty with placing orders for all liquor and bar related supplies
- Consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
- Properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- Adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- Monitors safety and security issues and reports issues to management
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
