Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Work days, nights or weekends as required
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Ability to walk or stand 100 percent of shift
- Ability to work in environments with hot and cold temperatures such as freezers and around cooking equipment
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently
- Ability to read and write handwritten notes
- Work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
- Maintain punctuality and dependability
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to maintain friendly and positive attitude under pressure
- Must comply with all company policies and safety procedures.
Job Qualifications
- Restaurant or bar experience preferred but not required
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster's experience
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Friendly demeanor with ability to smile frequently
- Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with distractions
- Ability to follow dress code and maintain professional appearance
- Ability to operate Micros system and handle cash transactions
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to participate in incentives and contests
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Job Duties
- Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games
- Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
- Create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
- Adhere to company sanitation procedures
- Maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure accurate financial transactions by operating credit card machines, calculating and returning appropriate change, and maintaining adequate cash and coin
- Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and managing intoxicated guests
- Assess guest demeanor and report behavior concerns to a manager
- Follow all bar recipes to deliver consistent products, control costs and maximize guest satisfaction
- Keep station clean, set up and take down station tables
- Greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
- Accurately take guest food and drink orders
- Maintain thorough understanding of menu items and answer questions regarding food and drink
- Enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence with correct modifications and charges
- Be responsible for all sales on personal Micros keys and complete station side work at shift start and end
- Demonstrate ability to operate Micros, handle credit card transactions and account for all monies
- Ensure food is properly garnished and deliver trays to designated bar areas and other sections as needed
- Work quickly and efficiently following the "full hands in, full hands out" philosophy
- Participate in all incentives and contests to drive sales and promote the brand
- Complete bar inventories and daily requisition sheets
- Complete opening/closing duties promptly
- Assist in party setup and breakdown
- Support other team members as needed based on business demands
- Buss and reset tables when needed
- Ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after food delivery, maintaining drink levels, removing clutter and responding promptly to guest needs
- Maintain favorable working relationships with all team members to foster cooperation, high morale, productivity and efficiency
- Listen carefully to guest orders and communicate verbally and via Micros system with guests and team members
- Maintain a friendly demeanor and smile frequently
- Communicate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster's experience to guests
- Follow dress code and maintain neat, clean, and professional appearance.
