Job Description

Red Lobster, a renowned restaurant chain with more than fifty years of history, began as a family-owned establishment with a vision to offer customers something special: a deep connection to seafood and coastal dining. Today, this iconic restaurant operates over 500 locations, each embodying the passion and dedication that originated at its founding. Red Lobster is more than just a place to eat and work; it is a community hub where new friends become familiar faces, and where every meal contributes to special moments shared among family and friends.

Working at Red Lobster means becoming part of this rich heritage and the vibrant family that feeds and serves communities across the country. The restaurant offers flexible working hours, competitive weekly pay, and an extensive range of employee benefits designed to support both your career growth and personal well-being. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service. Employees also enjoy discounted meals during shifts and 25% off when dining as a guest. Red Lobster is committed to training and providing career advancement opportunities to help every team member grow and succeed.

The role of the Bartender at Red Lobster is fundamental to creating memorable dining experiences for customers. As a Bartender, you will be the face that welcomes guests with a warm smile and impeccable service. Your duties will include preparing the bar area before opening, maintaining stock levels, and suggesting beverage, appetizer, and dessert pairings to enhance guests' dining experiences. You'll craft drinks according to established recipes, ensure precise order taking and accurate POS system entry, and consistently check on customers to ensure satisfaction. Closing tasks include delivering timely bills, thanking guests, and inviting them to return.

Physical endurance and attention to detail are essential in this role, as Bartenders are required to stand for extended periods, bend and reach, and safely carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. Flexibility and teamwork skills are vital, as the environment demands multitasking and a focus on safety standards, particularly concerning food handling and sanitation.

With big plans on the horizon, Red Lobster is evolving and expanding to elevate its restaurants and teams to new heights. There has never been a better time to join the Red Lobster family, where diversity, equality, and inclusion are priorities, offering an inviting workplace for all employees regardless of age, race, gender, or background. This part-time opportunity provides a welcoming and rewarding environment for anyone looking to build a career in the hospitality and service industry, while benefiting from comprehensive support and a community-centric culture.
