Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- minimum 1 year experience as barback or bartender in hotel or restaurant
- high school diploma or GED equivalence
- ability to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to bend, twist, push, pull, stoop and kneel
- ability to ascend and descend ladders
- must be able to communicate orally and in writing
- must be able to perform duties with attention to detail and speed
- flexibility to work scheduled shifts based on business needs
- TIPS and Food Safety certification required
- follow all safety and security procedures
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalence
- minimum 1 year experience as a barback or bartender in a hotel or restaurant
- TIPS and Food Safety certification
- excellent communication skills
- ability to multi-task efficiently
- knowledge of beverages, recipes, garnishes and correct glassware
- knowledge and compliance with state liquor regulations

Job Duties
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bars and restaurants in accordance with service standards
- anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests making recommendations from guests' preferences
- take guests' food and beverage orders utilizing suggestive selling techniques
- complete opening duties including checking quality and quantity of all bar stock and supplies
- requisition necessary supplies and transport from storeroom to bar
- set bar according to service standards
- set up all condiments and beverages according to standards
- prepare fresh fruit garnishes according to service standards
- ensure sufficient supply of flatware, glassware, and chinaware
- maintain cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas
- set up stations with supplies and equipment
- record orders into point-of-sale system and receive payment following procedures
- adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies
- open wine and champagne bottles serving according to service standards
- retrieve food orders from kitchen
- monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of service areas
- guide activity of bar back to ensure optimum service
- remove soiled wares and clean bar after guests depart
- collect and report tips at shift end
- complete closing duties and report to supervisor
- be TIPS and Food Safety certified
- follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation and safety procedures
- follow policies and procedures striving to improve operations
- follow safety and security procedures
- work cohesively with co-workers and other departments
- adhere to attendance and reliability standards
- perform all additional duties as assigned by management
