The role of a Bartender at Red Lobster is integral to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Bartenders are responsible for welcoming guests warmly and maintaining a positive atmosphere at the bar area. This position requires setting up the bar efficiently before opening, including preparing pour stations, glassware, and ensuring adequate stock of beverages, mixes, and garnishes. Bartenders use their skills to make all drinks to standard by following recipes closely and maintaining quality. They play an active role in suggestively selling drinks, appetizers, and desserts, enhancing the overall guest dining experience. Additionally, bartenders accurately take and enter food and drink orders using the POS system, follow up with guests to provide refills, clear items from tables, and deliver checks promptly and courteously.

Physical demands for the role include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and remain standing for long shifts that may last between 8 to 12 hours. Teamwork, attention to detail, and multitasking skills are important attributes for success in this fast-paced environment. Job Requirements

  • Must meet the minimum age requirement and authorized to work in the country you are applying
  • ability to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 30 pounds safely
  • ability to remain standing for an 8 to 12 hour shift

Job Qualifications

  • Previous bartending or customer service experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Welcoming guests and greeting every guest with a smile when they are seated
  • setting up the bar, including pour and glassware stations prior to opening, and limited restocking beverages, mixes, garnishes as needed
  • suggestively selling drinks, appetizers, and desserts
  • making all drinks to standard, using the recipe, glassware, and garnish
  • accurately taking food and drink orders and entering orders into the POS properly
  • checking back with guests throughout the experience to provide refills as needed and clearing any items from the table
  • delivering and settling the check in a timely manner, thanking guests and inviting them to return
  • following all food safety standards
