Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain that has passionately connected people to seafood and coastal dining experiences for over fifty years. With more than 500 locations, Red Lobster has grown from its humble beginnings to become a beloved dining destination where guests feel welcomed not only to enjoy exceptional meals but also to share memorable moments. As part of the communities it serves, Red Lobster fosters a warm, friendly atmosphere where new friends become familiar faces. Their commitment to quality, hospitality, and community values stands at the core of everything they do.
The Bartender role at Red Lobster offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity within this thriving restaurant environment. This full-time or part-time position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and enjoy crafting beverages that enhance the dining experience. Bartenders at Red Lobster are essential team members responsible for welcoming guests, preparing drinks to standard recipes, and contributing to an enjoyable and hospitable atmosphere. The company values flexibility; thus, scheduling can accommodate various availability needs. Alongside competitive wages and weekly pay, employees benefit from a suite of healthcare options including medical, dental, and vision plans that start at less than $10 per week. Additional perks include life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year.
At Red Lobster, bartenders engage with guests by greeting them warmly, suggestively selling drinks, appetizers, and desserts, and ensuring that every beverage is made to perfection using proper glassware and garnishes. They also manage the bar setup before service begins, maintain stock as needed throughout their shift, and ensure that food safety standards are upheld. The role demands attentiveness to guest needs by checking back regularly for refills and clearing tables proactively. Efficient handling of order entry through the point-of-sale system and timely delivery and settlement of checks further emphasize the professional and polished experience expected from team members.
Physical requirements of the job include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and remain standing for extended shifts of 8 to 12 hours. Being detail-oriented, comfortable multitasking, and able to collaborate as part of a team are critical success factors for this role. Red Lobster supports employees with reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to meet these essential functions.
Red Lobster is excited about its future and encourages energetic, passionate individuals to join their expanding family. They pride themselves on being an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive workplace culture for all employees regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. Working as a Bartender at Red Lobster means joining a supportive environment with opportunities to grow and advance your career while enjoying numerous benefits, competitive pay, and the pride of being part of a well-established and respected brand in the hospitality industry.
