Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant chain with over fifty years of history, known for delivering exceptional dining experiences centered around quality seafood and a welcoming coastal atmosphere. With more than 500 locations across the country, Red Lobster has built a strong reputation as a community-focused business where guests enjoy memorable meals, making every visit special and personal. The company prides itself on fostering a warm environment where new friends become familiar faces, highlighting its commitment not only to great food but also to outstanding customer service and community engagement.
As part of Red Lobster’s vibrant team, the role of Bartender is essential to maintaining the friendly and inviting dining environment the brand is celebrated for. This position offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and competitive wages, along with access to medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week. Employees also benefit from life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match eligible after one year of service.
In this experiential role, bartenders are responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests with a smile and supporting an efficient bar operation from opening to close. The position entails setting up the bar area with necessary supplies like glassware, beverages, mixes, and garnishes, preparing drinks to recipe standards, and suggestively selling drinks, appetizers, and desserts to guests. Bartenders also take food and drink orders accurately, inputting them into the point-of-sale system while consistently checking in with customers to ensure satisfaction throughout their visit.
Beyond drink preparation, bartenders maintain cleanliness and safety at the bar, follow all food safety standards rigorously, and manage closing duties such as settling guest checks and inviting patrons to return. The role requires physical stamina, including standing for extended shifts, the ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely, and the capacity to perform repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, and stooping while maintaining an attentive and detail-oriented approach. Teamwork and multitasking skills are crucial to juggling multiple responsibilities effectively within a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Red Lobster is deeply committed to equal employment opportunities and fostering an inclusive workplace. The company values the diverse backgrounds and experiences of its employees and ensures that all individuals, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status, are welcomed and respected.
This is a dynamic opportunity to join a trusted and beloved brand where career advancement and training are prioritized. Red Lobster not only offers its employees competitive earnings and comprehensive benefits but also the chance to be part of a family that values connection, quality, and hospitality. Working here means being part of something bigger – a future filled with growth and the ability to make a positive impact both on guests and within local communities.
