Job Description

Ascent Hospitality is a leading hospitality company with an impressive portfolio of hotels and a robust pipeline of new properties and acquisitions. Unlike many companies that focus solely on growth metrics, Ascent Hospitality builds its foundation on people-first principles, prioritizing the experience of their team members and guests alike. The company fosters a culture that celebrates memorable experiences, teamwork, and personal growth, making it a standout destination for hospitality professionals seeking a meaningful and rewarding career. With a focus on collaboration and unified purpose, Ascent Hospitality continuously seeks individuals who not only excel in their roles but also embody the spirit of service and innovation.

As a hospitality leader, Ascent Hospitality is looking for a talented Bartender to join their team. This role is ideal for a bright mixologist passionate about crafting innovative and exciting beverages while creating an inviting atmosphere behind the bar. The Bartender will be the key driver of energy and hospitality, ensuring guests feel welcomed and leave with memorable experiences. Responsibilities include offering a diverse and seasonally-inspired beverage menu, engaging warmly with guests, and providing knowledgeable recommendations. This role demands someone who thrives on always being at the forefront of beverage trends and who takes pride in delivering exceptional service.

The Bartender position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance and other supplemental options, as well as 401k with employer match, paid time off, uniforms for most positions, and employee hotel discount programs. As a part of the Ascent Hospitality team, the Bartender will be expected to maintain proper bar setup, manage inventory including beer, wine, spirits, and fresh garnishes, and ensure compliance with legal and corporate standards related to serving alcoholic beverages. Day-to-day responsibilities also include handling cash transactions accurately and securing the bar area at the end of shifts.

This position requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays, and a commitment to teamwork and communication. Physical demands include the ability to stand for long periods, handle glassware and bottles, use manual dexterity for garnishing drinks, and safely lift objects up to 50 pounds. Mental resilience and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment are also essential.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of bar experience, a good knowledge of spirits and wine, and the creativity to develop craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks. While not mandatory, hotel experience is preferred, and a high school education or equivalent is expected. Ascent Hospitality values professionalism and energy in all its team members and strives to provide an environment where employees can grow and succeed in their hospitality careers. If you are passionate about service, love mixology, and want to join a team that prioritizes people and culture, this Bartender role with Ascent Hospitality could be your next great opportunity.
