The role of Bartender at Logan's Roadhouse is vital to delivering an exceptional guest experience. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for the complete management and operation of the bar area, ensuring it is properly stocked, maintained, and clean at all times. This position requires mixing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, following standard recipes and procedures to uphold consistency and quality. Beyond just preparing drinks, the Bartender acts as a face of the establishment, interacting with guests to promote drink specials and suggest menu items to enhance their visit.

Coordination with fellow bartenders, front-of-house, and back-of-house staff is essential to maintain smooth bar operations and timely delivery of orders. Rigorous adherence to state and local alcohol regulations is mandatory, including verifying guests' identification before serving alcoholic beverages. The role also involves handling transactions accurately using a Point-of-Sale system, reconciling daily bar inventories with cash received, and performing housekeeping duties to keep the bar area organized and inviting.

Physical demand is a significant aspect of the Bartender position, requiring stamina, mobility, and the ability to perform activities such as lifting, walking, balancing, bending, and other movements necessary for daily operations. This role is full-time and suited to individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, social environment and possess excellent communication skills. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old to pour alcohol or as state regulations dictate
  • successful completion of company-required training including safety, systems, menu, and alcohol certification within 60 days of employment
  • adheres to company appearance standards
  • physical ability to perform activities such as lifting, walking, bending, kneeling, handling, reaching, squatting, climbing, and stooping
  • ability to distinguish between colors and exercise peripheral vision
  • ability to hear and communicate effectively face-to-face and via telecommunications

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in bartending preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of standard drink recipes and bar equipment
  • ability to follow health and safety regulations
  • proficiency with Point-of-Sale systems
  • ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Check guests’ identification and serve alcoholic drinks adhering to state and local regulations
  • mix ingredients to prepare drinks, serve draft beer, bottled beer, wine and liquor according to procedure/recipe and restaurant specifications
  • perform correct money transactions and make correct change utilizing Point-of-Sale system
  • communicate with guests and team members to promote specials and suggestions
  • reconcile daily bar inventories with bar cash-received totals
  • maintain neat, clean and organized bar area according to restaurant specifications
  • perform cleaning duties including mopping, glassware cleaning, and removal of floor mats
