Certification in responsible alcohol service is mandatory, and the candidate must be at least 21 years old to comply with state laws. Job Duties

  • Promptly greets guests and takes beverage orders from servers or guests
  • promptly prepares beverage orders according to server tickets
  • mixes alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails, and other beverages as requested and in compliance with company standards and recipes
  • checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase and notifies management of underage or intoxicated guests
  • rings up all drink and food orders in the POS system, collects payment, balances receipts, and follows cash handling procedures
  • ensures bar area is fully equipped with necessary tools and products, reports defective products or equipment
  • offers and serves food items to guests seated at the bar when appropriate
  • demonstrates thorough knowledge of food, beverage products, menus, and promotions
  • performs routine cleaning, setup, and breakdown of the bar
  • washes and sterilizes glassware and arranges bottles, glassware, and beverage products attractively
  • completes daily and weekly cleaning and side work requirements
  • participates in scheduled catering events
  • performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor
