The Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport Hotel is currently seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven Bartender to join its dynamic food and beverage team. This role is essential to the hotel's guest satisfaction strategy, as the Bartender provides personalized service that enhances the overall guest experience. The selected candidate will be responsible for taking orders, mixing and serving drinks, providing food service at the bar, and ensuring a welcoming and efficient bar environment.

The ideal Bartender will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced atmosphere. A friendly and outgoing personality will help in engaging with guests and making them feel comfortable and valued. Responsibilities include greeting customers, recommending drinks, preparing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages in accordance with the hotel’s standards, maintaining bar cleanliness, managing supplies, verifying legal drinking age with ID checks, processing transactions, and collaborating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and drinks.

Beyond the technical skills, the role demands dedication to upholding food safety and sanitation regulations, attentiveness to guest needs, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Bartender must be adaptable and capable of working flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a bartender with extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service

Job Duties

  • Greet customers and take their orders
  • provide recommendations and answer questions about drinks and menu items
  • prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered
  • ensure that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar
  • maintain the bar and keep it clean and organized
  • keep bar supplied with snacks
  • ensure that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs
  • ensure customer satisfaction by checking in with customers and addressing any concerns
  • process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions
  • collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
  • adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
