We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bartenders to join our team. This position is central to our goal of delivering exceptional guest service, particularly in providing high-quality alcoholic beverages to guests of legal drinking age. Bartenders at Typhoon Texas serve not only drinks but also embody the spirit of Texas hospitality by being fast, efficient, and responsible. The role requires individuals who are knowledgeable about specialty cocktails, draft and bottled beers, and able to clearly communicate these options to our guests. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area is essential, as is adherence to all safety protocols including the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) approved service plan.

The ideal candidate will be guest-service driven and work collaboratively with servers, cabana attendants, and leadership to ensure a seamless experience for all visitors. Beyond drink preparation, bartenders assist guests with park-related inquiries and contribute to upholding the park's safety and service standards. Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
must be open and willing to learn new things
must be flexible, adaptable, and a team player
must follow all health department, TABC, City and County alcohol requirements and maintain a clean working environment
understands and supports the Typhoon Texas Culture
uses excellent judgement and follows the Typhoon Texas Austin alcohol and tip policy
identifies problems and works quickly to find solutions
works effectively with others, on all levels, in a positive and professional manner
has excellent communication skills which includes the ability to use clear, concise, and grammatically correct written and oral language in interactions with guests, fellow team members, and management
this position may require you to work in other positions, locations, and/or departments if needed
must be willing to complete all tasks given by Typhoon Texas leadership
if you do not have a Typhoon Texas approved and current Food Handler's Permit and/or TABC Certification, you will be required to obtain one at your expense

Job Qualifications

must have or be willing to obtain the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission Alcohol Seller/Server Certification
must have or be willing to obtain a Food Handler's Permit

Job Duties

Work collaboratively with servers, leadership, and other team members
knowledgeable on all specialty cocktails and beer
knowledgeable on all liquor we carry
greet all guests with enthusiasm and a smile
prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards
maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including tools, glassware, and supplies
restock bar inventory and communicate supply needs to leadership
monitor guest consumption and respond appropriately to ensure a safe environment
accurately charge and pay out guest
ID all guests that look under the age of 35
assist with opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
