We are currently seeking a positive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented bartender to join our talented front-of-house team at Wigle Whiskey Distillery. This role is perfect for an individual passionate about craft cocktails, the Wigle product line, and creating memorable guest interactions. The bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages while maintaining a clean, organized bar environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for the art of mixology, the patience and interpersonal skills to deliver excellent guest service, and the capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced atmosphere. As a member of our team, the bartender will be entrusted with upholding the brand’s reputation by delivering legendary experiences through expert craft cocktail preparation and attentive guest service. Duties include receiving orders, serving mixed drinks and nonalcoholic beverages, ensuring all garnishes are prepared ahead of shifts, maintaining inventory, and assisting with menu creation including seasonal and classic cocktails. Compliance with alcohol service laws and regulations, such as checking IDs and refusing service to intoxicated patrons, is essential to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Certification for the accredited alcohol server test (RAMP) required on first day of hire
  • Experience in bartending or a similar role preferred
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized bar area
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and late shifts
  • Basic math skills to handle transactions and inventory

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess working knowledge of liquors, beers, and wines
  • Display strong guest service skills at all times
  • Obtain certification for the accredited alcohol server test (RAMP) on the first day of hire
  • Must be able to accurately and efficiently calculate basic mathematical solutions
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Excellent knowledge of back-of-the-house, ordering, and inventory systems
  • Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Receives orders from patrons and wait staff
  • Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered
  • Ensures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar
  • Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized
  • Attractively displays glasses and liquor bottles
  • Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs
  • Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive
  • Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies
  • Stocks refrigerating units with mixers, garnishes, and bottled beer
  • Stocks liquor and taps kegs
  • Removes empty bottles and trash
  • Takes food orders and delivers to guests
  • Assists with menu creation, including classic and seasonal cocktails and mocktails
  • Assists bartenders with washing glassware and cutting and preparing condiments and garnishes
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
