Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Certification for the accredited alcohol server test (RAMP) required on first day of hire
- Experience in bartending or a similar role preferred
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and late shifts
- Basic math skills to handle transactions and inventory
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess working knowledge of liquors, beers, and wines
- Display strong guest service skills at all times
- Obtain certification for the accredited alcohol server test (RAMP) on the first day of hire
- Must be able to accurately and efficiently calculate basic mathematical solutions
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to problem solve
- Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of back-of-the-house, ordering, and inventory systems
- Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Receives orders from patrons and wait staff
- Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered
- Ensures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar
- Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized
- Attractively displays glasses and liquor bottles
- Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs
- Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive
- Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies
- Stocks refrigerating units with mixers, garnishes, and bottled beer
- Stocks liquor and taps kegs
- Removes empty bottles and trash
- Takes food orders and delivers to guests
- Assists with menu creation, including classic and seasonal cocktails and mocktails
- Assists bartenders with washing glassware and cutting and preparing condiments and garnishes
- Performs other related duties as assigned
