The Bartender position at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is a part-time opportunity designed for individuals who enjoy creating a fun and exciting atmosphere while delivering exceptional service. Bartenders play a critical role in anticipating guest needs, preparing a variety of beverages including standard and specialty mixed drinks, wine, and beer, and ensuring that every guest interaction is positive and exceeds expectations. They contribute to maintaining the overall guest experience by supporting service in other areas, upholding high standards of cleanliness and organization, and adhering strictly to safety and sanitation guidelines. This role also requires bartenders to efficiently handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to be pleasant, upbeat and sociable throughout the workday
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including days, nights, holidays and weekends
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, turning, climbing, and occasional stocking up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to communicate quickly and accurately
  • Ability to understand and maintain safety standards at all times

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior guest service or hospitality experience is preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to maintain safety and sanitation standards
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and operating point-of-sale system

Job Duties

  • Greet guest and take orders within Andretti guidelines, always exceeding guests expectations
  • Prepare standard and specialty mixed drinks
  • Pour wine and beer quickly, accurately, and without waste
  • Deliver food and beverage in a professional manner according to Andretti standards
  • Collect payment for all items purchased and consumed and operate the Point-of-Sale system with ease
  • Count cash drawer at the beginning of the shift for accuracy and ensure adequate amount of change is present
  • Maintain an organized work area and proactively clean and reset tables
  • Order and maintain liquor and bar supplies, display bottles in an aesthetically pleasing manner
  • Properly dispose of broken glassware
  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines in accordance with local health regulations
  • Sufficiently handle and accurately count money
  • Check identification of any guest consuming alcohol
  • Follow all state and company guidelines regarding beverage services
  • Observe, instruct and monitor guests for safety and guideline adherence
  • Assist with guest recovery and notify manager to ensure positive guest experiences
  • Communicate clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with guests and fellow co-workers
  • Perform opening, running and closing department duties as assigned
